"Out of the Wild" Alaska Wilderness Trek There are extraordinary wildlife viewing opportunities on this hike, including gigantic brown bears, coursing up and down salmon spawning rivers and enormous bull moose transitioning the tundra to breeding grounds. Caribou range throughout the area high and low, Dall sheep rams peer down from lofty heights of the surrounding peaks and black bears are seen combing the hills in August for the rich crop of blueberries. There are known wolf dens here and family packs can be heard but a sighting is uncommon as anywhere in North America. Wolverine, otter and grizzlies are more commonly sighted testifying to the true wild character of the area. We have six scheduled outings for the summer of 2013. Group size is a maximum of four. Custom arrangements are possible.
In 2013 the Out of the Wild treks will depart on the following dates:
Remember, September trips can be outstanding too! Booked by custom dates to fit your travel plans.
